and Developing Your Web Page |
| Learn how to
create your Web page to offer information or business services, enhance your
career, or just plain have fun. Format your text and graphics and download
information, software, sounds, and video. Learn HTML and other design
skills, and actually create a page on the Internet. This class is designed
for an intermediate-level PC or Macintosh user, but no programming
experience is required.

Web-site Design: The Next Step

| Once you've
mastered Web design basics and created a Web page, it's time to spruce up
your site and take HTML to the next level. Learn how to format using tables
and Java scripts, create forms, and call CGI scripts. Discover what makes a
Web site effective, interactive, and attractive and how to ensure that your
site shows up when using search keywords. All HTML and Web-design skills you
learn can be applied to the PC or the Macintosh. This class is designed for
intermediate computer users who have taken a beginning-level HTML course,
"Designing and Developing Your Web Page," or have experience using
HTML.

track, then this course is for you. Cover the basics

studies, and a PC-based CD-ROM with programs and

Introduction
to JavaScript
|
| JavaScript is a
scripting language developed by Netscape used to
develop client-side applications for web pages.
If you are already experienced in developing
web pages using HTML wish to learn how to add
intractability to your web pages, then JavaScript is
for you. In
this one-day workshop, you will get hands-on
experience in using JavaScript to enhance your web
pages by utilizing techniques such as image
manipulation (rollover effects, random images), form
processing and validation techniques, date-time
techniques, and cookies.
Knowledge of HTML is required with a solid
understanding of tables, frames and forms highly
recommended. |
